Witnessing Issues in the World While Protecting Your Peace

Sana'a
Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting here <3 I was thinking about what's going on in the world right now and part of me wants to engage or at least witness it, while the other part of me, the sensitive part, doesn't know how to fully process it all. I understand boundaries are needed. This is something I've been working on for a few years now. Environmental destruction and species extinction has weighed heavy on my heart and I had to find a path back to joy. And I did through Maryam's teachings and others spiritual teachers, including Thich Nhat Hanh.

I find myself wanting to go back to the witnessing. Not just what's going on with Mother Earth on the ecological level, but the political landscape and how mainstream society has gone further in duality due to politics. It's important to me personally. But I become paralyzed when I see injustice/violence/destruction. I can feel my heart close up. A large part of my healing practice has been spending time in nature, which has opened up my heart again, and restored hope. But I'm still learning to not close up when I witness the darker aspects of reality on this Earth.

I wonder, is anyone else trying to figure this out so as not to turn a blind eye? Is anyone open to sharing their experience with this area? I find myself needing community to discuss/express the heaviness and sadness but also the hope and truth in the light too.

Much Love <3

Thank you for posting this. It's been on my mind a lot tonight as well. It's been tricky for me to balance staying engaged without the heaviness impacting my energy. Anytime I feel fear, anxiety, or a sense of doom, I always do an "emergency" meditation session to center/ground myself. Still, it's a constant push/pull in feeling protected spiritually but physically in "danger" with the injustices happening daily in this country.

Thank you for sharing. I'm right there with you! I think meditation is a very important practice in moments like this. I always have to remind myself the tools are there for maintaining peace within regardless of what's happening externally. I guess it's a daily practice.

Sending you healing light <3

First and foremost, I think the both of you are beautiful. You acknowledge your weakness through your strength. This is the essence of courage.

Why not channel the energy of courage? It is a great starting point on the power vs force spectrum. Its right next to neutrality.

It should help you because **to a 'certain' degree** courage implies that a scarce energy is at play. So you can use your **Own** energy as the source instead of the media.

Its just so quick, isn't it? Thats the issue. We are in our zenzones and then we see or hear or feel hurt and it kind of throws us off.

Courage. I think the easiest thing to do is to accept it and just dont engage the hurtful source. If anything emotional is brought up, you can accept that its a result of your own inner being and not the world because you are not directly involved in any way.

Depending on how deep into your spiritual practice you are, this "strong wind" could just be the weather you needed to test your roots.

I also think acceptance is especially important. Particularly for people who want to take direct action with the flow of energy. It could be a great ceremonial experience for you. But I believe that accepting the opposing energy instead of rejecting is how you would raise the consciousness of the entire experience. This way you can look at it from the all encompassing point of reason.

Once you hit reason, you pretty much can do anything. Especially from a spiritual point of view. You can harness the energy of reason and use it like a tool. Especially when dealing with energies that create forceful reactions. It's easy to understand that force diminishes its own self, while power recreates itself.

So you should do it from an almighty place. One where you are not hurt by it, because that is what you are more than likely requesting of yourself, otherwise it wouldnt hurt.

The great thing about all of this? we live in a world where we can decide what we sense and when. That right there automatically puts most things in a reasonABLE position. Especially considering that we have no direct emotional link with the media source, so you could technically use it as a way to sharpen your spiritual iron. But of course, realizing this just opens up a plethora of other, greater options within the actual spiritual universe, so why would we do that?...Lol. :-D. Its quite funny when you actually sit down and really feel what you feel.

I am at a place where I feel like I am tired of hearing the same old stuff. It feels like people have been singing tunes of hope and beauty for so long. It feels like we are sooo close to something sooo great! Like we are all just so ready to receive it!

Youtube is also a great place to get your intel. Your eye agents will thank you for blessing your hands with the abundant opportunity. The absolute truth is all ready within you.

You have a unique set of gifts that will help someone else. You are destined to be a star of Earth. Walking in the midst of other stars. Helping others shine continuously*

Much love <3
Emmanuel!

Hello NEMS fam

I came on here precisely because I wanted to be in community with like minded people.

Thank you @Sana'a for your post I'm with you and we are recalibrating ourselves and working on our energies, it's dynamic and a process. I appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

@Swansong I did the same, had to check in on my self and recognise what was going on inside me.
@Emmanuel yes yes yes I feel everything you wrote, thank you for taking the time to share.

Me, New York community Choir's Make Every Day Count album is setting me right, I will not have my energy syphoned into feeding a race war time line, I incarnated to have a cute time and that's what's going on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xnBpnRMUfk

Much love everyone! We're keeping a light at our window x

**There is a guide for every moment**

Something just came to me. This...this feeling...

I was considering  the notion of watching the news as a way to awaken whatever it is I am feeling about the current events so that I can work with it...

But then it dawned on me!

In every moment, there is a guide.

I am about to start a new job. I was humbling myself to the fact that the world is in fact yin  and yang and although in my neck of the woods I keep the vibration as high as I know how to, there are other places and occurrences happening that are not aligned.

So I thought, maybe I should watch the news so that I can feel "prepared."

But then, I realized that this is not the truth of our planetary energy.

**The trees grow on the crust, but the inner core could potentially destroy the trees if they decided to physically jump into the core. However, the crust is the source.**

I think it is 100% necessary to put every occurrence in our lives on a pedestal. I believe the way to do this is consistent, if not insistent practice and rhythm. No matter what. Whenever, where ever!

Bust out into dance. Gain the intention energy from where you find your sources and get to it!

In fact, I humbly admit that in those moments where I have enough energy to **aimlessly** whip out the good 'ol watchmacallit phone from my pocket, its almost 100% certain that I can do a lil jig to my own natural rhythm. And its 200% certain that everyone around me will benefit from this anomaly of a sight compared to the usual, 45 degree angle arm with a rectangle in the palm...

I promise, I really feel like doing this somehow sending ME into  the future and is like "Hey! with a huge grin on my face like...yea I know!"

Its like this feeling of unexplainability that just makes me laugh. Like I can make up my own word and it would actually make something good. Like the essence of that combined with just  the basic goodness of intentional action is enough to make a simple dance every so often have a huge impact on all of our lives!

So since we are all delicate beings of Mother Nature at a high level and potential existing and loving one another. I think its important that we begin to nurture ourselves like the trees that do it without a single moment of hesitation.

I dont think we need to put ourselves at risk. I also think its important to realize that the energy you may be feeling could be that you need to know something, but its almost 100% guaranteed it is not the regurgitation of Miss Sally who is on the ketoatkins 4 week ab challenge diet and hasn't said one thing about Kundalini on national television.

Thank you Emmanuel and Hudda Rahma for sharing your beautiful insights.

I enjoyed the music very much. It felt uplifting and reminded me that I can be a source of light in this world.

Emmanuel, your words have also been a reminder in the power of acceptance and being present with feelings. Yes, courage is the perfect word for this process. I think I will meditate on and channel this energy as I go forward. As I reflect on past experiences, it was always my courage to accept where I am that shifted my reality into something new and authentic. So, thank you for sharing your medicine <3

Thank you Emmanuel yes! We are so so precious and I know it's for me to act like I know. I love the example for the tree and the bark/crust. I agree with Sana'a too I'm going to be meditating on courage a lot. We have the power to filter and boundary and create a safe container for our infinite, glorious light, to share or not to share. Global capital needs us to be "open", ungrounded and disembodied so we are pliable and easily controlled. Good company, good music, good food, nature, restful sleep: all remind us who we are and why we are here.

Take care everyone
