Hi fam!
I'm Amaris, 41 yrs young, currently living in Fort Lauderdale, originally from NY. I'm an initiate of the Lukumi (known in the US as Santeria) tradition and have been practicing for 15 years. I'm a freelance copy editor. I had been seeing Maryam's quotes sporadically while online and the words always resonated. When I heard the Friend Zone podcast with Maryam as a guest, that really piqued my interest. ON TIME!!! Every class is so eye opening for me and I'm enjoying the shift. I've been somewhat solitary since moving to FL in 2016. I've definitely been in "Lone Wolf" mode since becoming aware of narcissistic relationships (including my parents) in my life. I thought putting distance would be enough, but then I had some narcissists pop up in my romantic relationships and I knew something in me has to change. Everything I'm learning now has been so affirming and empowering. I'm so thankful! It's giving me the push I need to be more active in finding my community. I thought I'd start today here by introducing myself. :) |

Please accept my extreme gratitude for this space. Thank you so much to Brittany and Esi. Also thank you to everyone who posted their introductions because the energy of community here is so warm. Thank you.
My name is Seven. I currently live 30 mins outside of Seattle, WA. I am a Sept 21 Virgo/libra cusp(sun), Leo(moon), Virgo (rising) so I am an immovable mountain of fire once sparked. I started a funny podcast called "7teeea!" to document my healing journey but I still have a 9-5 working in a therapy center for children. My background is layered with cosmic lessons that brought me to this moment. I found Maryam through the Friend's Zone's episode, "Keep That Same Energy". It changed my life and I joined the New Mystery School not long after. Both of my parents were pastors in the Christian faith. My mother being a prophet told me I had the gift but things scared me when I was little so I always rejected the gift of "seeing spiritually" according to her. Once I dove deeper into the origins of the faith, it had me view Jesus differently. Like He was more of a mystic than portrayed in sermons at church. That began my search into other spiritual faiths and traditions. Ive been a seeker ever since. That was 9 years ago. I still have not Mastered my energy due to the conflicting information I often get. I am definitely more in my head than I am in my heart. Thats why these classes have changed my life. I have yet to get in on a live class but I am excited to so I can feel like I am part of a community again. Moving to Washington State has taken me far away from the familiar and the adjustment has left me without a community. Learning, loving and mastery is why I am here. Thank you for reading.

Hey All. I am from Montreal, Canada and have been following Maryams work for maybe 2 years. I started buying classes from her school occasionally but I loved them so much, I decided to become a member. I have always been an intuitive/ weird little indigo type of girl. But as I am finding this community I am happy there are so many sensitives like myself out there and that this is something I can further develop rather than suppress.
I started dipping into esoteric type teachings about 10 years ago and always kept 1 foot in the matrix (, 1 foot in studying metaphysics. I am hoping to continue studying and working with the unseen realms more and more. I stumbled upon Inayat Khans book at the Salvation Army about 8 years ago and that opened my mind up to Sufism which is beautiful and maybe thats why I resonated with Maryams work as well. Love his books. I enjoy occasional psychedelics for spiritual purposes, meditating, reading and watching many documentries, cooking delicious vegan food and practicing dance and yoga. Basically doing what I can to live a high vibrational life. Currently I am working as a Labour and Delivery Nurse in Montreal but I hope to see myself working in a more holistic centered environment in the future. I also study Herbal Medicine part time which has been so amazing! Looking forward to be apart of this communty. Peace. Tish :) |

Hi All!
My name is Kelsie, and I've been located in Chicago a little over a year now. I'm originally from rural southern Illinois, where I found it hard to be myself growing up as a sensitive child. Many people identify as Christian in the area, and my grandfather was a preacher who spread his idea of God in a "hell and brimstone" type of way. As a young child I've always rejected these fear-based concepts of the Divine. I used drugs and alcohol to cope with my sensitivity from my young teenage years. I had a jarring spiritual awakening in my early twenties, which at the time I didn't have the guidance or understanding to fully integrate, so I delved even further into drug and alcohol abuse. I consciously began a stable self healing practice back in 2015, and I haven't turned back. I'm so thankful to have found Maryam's teachings on Instagram a few years ago and that this community exists. I joined a few months ago but am just now introducing myself. Looking forward to continued learning and growth with you all! <3 Other stuff about me--I'm 31, sun- Capricorn, rising/moon-Sagittarius, and I enjoy writing, dancing, rollerskating, and house music. |
