Traveling to NOLA (darling) in March

Felisha Nicole
Hey Soul Community,

Reaching out to all who are familiar or hail from New Orleans or around Louisiana. I'm making my yearly sojourn there and wondered if any of you have High Priests, shops, and eateries that you vibe with in those parts? I've had the pleasure of meeting with Priestess Miriam who I was introduced to through a tour back in 2012. Very exciting experience! I plan to see her again while there, but also wanted to branch out to other spots you all may be in tune with.  Thanks in advance any information you want to offer.

Much love

Greetings! I will be travelling to NOLA in July, the week after the 4th. I'd love to connect or take suggestions on places I should visit.

Hey Renee! The past few times I went to New Orleans, I stuck to the touristy stuff - this time I plan to stay in a home there a ways from Bourbon St. and stretch out more.  The only places off the top of my head that I recommend is the eatery Oceana Grill on Conti Street - if you're into oysters the Rockefeller oysters are supreme there. The only other spot I'm sure to go will be Priestess Miriam's Spiritual Center there on Rampart St. if you want to connect with a beloved and funny icon there. Other than that, I'm freestyling it, lol. If I happen upon more juicy spots, I'll follow up :)

My email is skepticsacropolis@gmail.com if you want to connect there.

Hi Renee, I live in Baton Rouge (about an hour away from NOLA). As far as food goes, one of my favorites is a Haitian/Cajun fusion restaurant called Fritai in St. Roch's Market. It's directly across the street from the New Orleans Healing Center.

The Ruby Slipper (breakfast/brunch) and Port of Call are also really popular and in the same area.
